الكتاب الثالث عشر: الجهاد في سبيل الله تعالى
قال تعالى: {وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً يَعْبُدُونَنِي لاَ يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا *}. [النور:55]
2082 - (ق) عَنِ المُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (لاَ يَزَالُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمْ أَمْرُ الله وَهُمْ ظَاهِرُونَ) .
2085 - (ق) عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: جاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم فَقَالَ: دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ يَعْدِلُ الْجِهَادَ، قَالَ: (لاَ أَجِدُهُ) . قَالَ: (هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ إِذَا خرَجَ الْمُجَاهِدُ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ مَسْجِدَكَ، فَتَقُومَ وَلاَ تَفْتُرَ، وَتَصُومَ وَلاَ تُفْطِرَ) ؟ قَالَ: وَمَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُ ذَلِكَ؟
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is equivalent to Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He answered: “You can not do it.” The question was repeated twice or thrice to which he gave the same answer. Then he said: “The example of a Mujāhid in the cause of Allah is like a person who keeps fasting, praying and reciting the verses of Allah unfailingly until the Mujāhid returns.” In the version narrated by Al-Bukhāri: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, show me a deed that equals Jihad.” The Prophet replied: "I do not find one." Then he said: "When the Mujāhid goes out for Jihad, can you enter your place of prayer and pray incessantly and fast without breaking your fast?" The man replied: "Who can do that!"
2086 - (ق) وَعَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (انْتَدَبَ الله [1] عزّ وجل لَمِنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ، لاَ يُخْرِجُهُ إِلاَّ إِيمَانٌ بِي وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِرُسُلِي، أَنْ أُرْجِعَهُ بِمَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ، أَوْ أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّة. وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مَا قَعَدْتُ خَلْفَ سَرِيَّةٍ [2] ، وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ الله، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ) .
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has assigned (in a wording of Sahih Muslim: Allah guaranteed) for the one who goes out (to fight) in His cause, driven by nothing but (desire for) Jihad in My cause and belief in Me and in My messengers, then he has a guarantee from Me that I will admit him into Paradise or return him to his abode whence he came forth, receiving whatever reward or war booty he managed to obtain." A narration of Muslim reads: "The Mujāhid in the cause of Allah, and Allah knows best who fights in His cause, is like the one who fasts and stands (in prayer at night), and Allah has guaranteed for the one who fights in His cause to admit him into Paradise if He takes his soul, or to return him safe and sound with reward or booty."
2087 - (خ) عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (ما اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَما عَبْدٍ في سَبِيلِ الله فَتَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ) .
Abu ‘Abs ‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn Jabr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Anyone whose feet get covered with dust in the cause of Allah will not be touched by Hellfire."
2088 - (ق) عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ رضي الله عنه: أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ

فِي سَبِيلِ الله خَيْرٌ منَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا، وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ منَ الجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ منَ الدُّنِيْا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا، وَالرَّوْحَةُ

يَرُوحُهَا الْعَبْدُ في سَبِيلِ الله أَوِ الْغَدْوَةُ

، خير مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عَلَيْهَا) .
واقتصر مسلم على ذكر الغدوة والروحة.
Sahl ibn Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Observing Ribāt for one day in the way of Allah is better than the world and everything therein. A place in Paradise as small as that occupied by the whip of one of you is better than the world and everything therein. A morning's or an evening's journey that one travels in the way of Allah is better than the world and everything therein.”
2089 - (م) عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم يَقُولُ: (رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صِيَامِ شَهْرٍ وَقِيَامِهِ، وَإِنْ مَاتَ جَرَى عَلَيْهِ عَمَلُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْمَلُهُ، وَأُجْرِيَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ، وَأَمِنَ الْفَتَّانَ [1] ) .
Salmān al-Fārisi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Observing Ribāt (guarding the Muslim frontiers) for a day and a night is better than fasting and standing for night prayer for a whole month. If a person dies (while performing Ribāt), he will receive the reward for his righteous deeds perpetually, will receive his provision, and will be saved from the trials of the grave."
2090 - (خ) عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم: (مَنْ آمَنَ بالله وَبِرَسُولِهِ، وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ، وَصَامَ رَمَضَانَ، كانَ حَقّاً عَلَى الله أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ، جاهَدَ في سَبِيل الله أَوْ جَلَسَ في أَرْضِهِ الَّتِي وُلِدَ فِيهَا) . فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ الله، أَفَلاَ نُبَشِّرُ النَّاسَ؟ قَالَ: (إِنَّ في الْجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ، أَعَدَّهَا الله لِلْمُجَاهِدينَ في سَبِيلِ الله، ما بَيْنَ الدَّرَجَتينِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاء وَالأرْضِ، فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُ الله فَأَسْأَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَوْسَطُ الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ ـ أُرَاهُ قالَ: وفَوَقَهُ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمنِ ـ وَمِنْهُ تَفَجَّرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ) .
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “In Paradise, there are one hundred degrees that Allah prepared for those who make jihad in the cause of Allah. The distance between each two degrees is like the distance between the heaven and earth.”
2091 - (م) عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، مَنْ رَضِيَ بالله رَبّاً، وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِيناً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيّاً، وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ) ، فَعَجِبَ لَهَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، فَقَالَ: أَعِدْهَا عَلَيَّ يَا رَسُولَ الله! ففَعَلَ. ثُمَّ قَالَ: (وَأُخْرَى يُرْفَعُ بِهَا الْعَبْدُ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ) ، قَالَ: وَمَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ الله؟ قَالَ: (الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيل الله، الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيل الله) .
Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is pleased with Allah as their Lord, with Islam as their religion, and with Muhammad as their Messenger, Paradise is guaranteed for him." Abu Sa‘īd was full of wonder at that, so he said: "O Messenger of Allah, repeat that to me." He did so and then said: "There is something else by means of which Allah shall raise the slave a hundred degrees in Paradise; the distance between each two degrees is like that between the heavens and earth." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is it?" He said: "Jihad in the cause of Allah, Jihad in the cause of Allah."
2092 - (ق) عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَمُوتُ، لَهُ عِنْدَ الله خَيْرٌ، يَسُرُّهُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا، وَأَنَّ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا؛ إِلاَّ الشَهِيدُ، لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ، فَإِنَّهُ يَسُرُّهُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا، فَيُقْتَلَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى) .
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one who has entered Paradise would love to return to the life of this world even if he would be given all that the world contains, except for the martyr. He will wish to return to the world and be killed ten more times on account of the honor that he will find." In another narration: "... on account of the merit of martyrdom that he will find."
2093 - (م) عَنْ سَهلِ بنِ حُنَيْفٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم قَالَ: (مَنْ سَأَلَ الله الشِّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ، بَلَّغَهُ الله مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ، وإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ) .
Sahl ibn Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sincerely asks Allah, the Almighty, for martyrdom, Allah will raise him to the status of martyrs even if he dies on his bed."
